The DMV is the perfect area to live in for concerts. There is a concert for everyone and their mother this summer. Whether you listen to country, pop, or older music, there is a wide variety of concerts to choose from.

Coldplay with H.E.R. is playing on June 1st at Fedex Field in Landover Maryland as part of their “MUSIC OF THE SPHERES WORLD TOUR.” This is the eighth tour by the British alternative rock band. Their tour will include songs like “My Universe,” “Higher Power,” “Let Somebody Go,” “Paradise,” “Clocks,” “Violet Hill” and “People of The Pride.”

Halsey is playing with Beabadoobee and Pink Pantherss on June 8th. They are playing at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. Halsey got very creative with this “Love and Power Tour” and has transformed a website dedicated to it into a beautiful medieval looking page. There is also a 50 minute film that is set to the music of the tour. Halsey herself stars in this film. It is an incredibly creative way to promote a tour.

Justin Bieber is performing with JADEN, Harry Hudson and Teo at the Capital One Arena on June 10th. Bieber’s tour, “The Justice World Tour,” has been planned for quite a while, but was put off multiple times due to COVID. Luckily, it is finally happening in the US this summer and it is a highly anticipated event.

They will be performing their album “Tell Me That It’s Over” with songs “Hard to Believe,” “Especially You,” “Marvelous,” “I Don’t Want to Talk,” “At the End of the Day” and “Permanent Price.” The artists are experimenting more with mainstream sounds on this album, but in an interesting way that keeps them fresh.

5 Seconds of Summer is playing at the Anthem on July 5th. Their “Take My Hand” World Tour was announced right after the release of their single “Complete Mess” in March. Their setlist is filled with popular fan-favorite songs mixed with newer songs.

Shawn Mendes is performing with Dermot Kennedy at Capital One Arena on July 27th.  His tour “Wonder” started in March and will be reaching the US this summer. The concert has a special experience where fans can take part in a VIP experience that allows for a meet-and-greet with Shawn after the concert. It also includes a signed guitar, tour poster, VIP entrance to the venue and exclusive merch packets. This is a unique experience for many fans.

Doja Cat is touring with the Weeknd and will reach Landover, Maryland on July 30th at FedEx Field. Their tour “After Hours Til Dawn” has an interesting sci-fi feel to it and will be a unique experience. The Weeknd will be performing some of his most popular songs like “Blinding Lights” and “Save Your Tears,” and many other lesser known songs which will make for an interesting set list. Doja Cat will also be playing songs like “Woman” and “Get Into It” which will ensure an exciting night.

Phoebe Bridgers is performing at the Anthem on June 11th and 12th. Her tour “Phoebe Bridgers: Reunion Tour” started May 17th and will be coming to Maryland this June. The tour focuses on her second album Punisher. It includes songs like “Motion Sickness,” “Kyoto” and “Garden Song.”

Anyone interested in older music should go watch Paul McCartney perform in Camden Yards in Baltimore on June 12th. His “Got Back Tour” is taking place in the US this summer and was postponed for two years due to COVID. He will be playing many songs from The Beatles and Wings. He will play songs like “Hey Jude” and “Let It Be” from the Beatles, and “Band on the Run” and “Live and Let Die” from Wings.

Lorde is performing at the Anthem on August 29th. Fans need to buy tickets fast as many of the dates are already selling out. Luckily her concert is still selling in DC this summer.  Her “Solar Power Tour” is her third tour and focuses on her third album “Solar Power.” It will include songs like “Stoned at the Nail Salon,” “Solar Power” and “Mood Ring.”
