The CHS field hockey team advanced to the state semifinals with a convincing 4-0 win over B-CC on Nov. 1.

This is the second consecutive year that the Bulldogs ousted the B-CC Barons in the field hockey regional final.

CHS controlled the game from start to finish, as early goals from juniors Lizzie Hsu and Regan Solomon put the defending regional champs up 2-0 just minutes into the first half. The Bulldogs’ relentless offensive attack continued throughout the half, as Faith Kean added a tally and assist before leaving the game with an injury. CHS dominated time-of-possession and extended their lead to 4-0 at the end of the first half.

At the start of the second half, B-CC looked as though they would get on the scoreboard, but a few marvelous saves by CHS senior goalkeeper Juliet Twomey prevented the Barons from gaining a foothold. After the Bulldogs survived the quick, yet fruitless B-CC surge, they cruised to a 4-0 victory.

The CHS Field Hockey team lost in the regional final Nov. 6 against East regional champion South River.
