After a nail-biting, heavily anticipated arrival, “Outer Banks” season three was released on Feb. 23, 2023. The first season of “Outer Banks” was released during the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown. Many teenagers and kids took the initiative to begin watching this show to cure the massive amount of boredom from the lockdown.

The show was created by brothers Josh and Jonas Pate. The brothers are also responsible for writing “The Grave”, “Surface” and “Shrink”. The majority of the “Outer Banks” cast had their careers skyrocket due to this show. Madelyn Cline, actress for character Sarah Cameron, has appeared in many new films such as “Knives Out: A Glass Onion Mystery”.

Viewers can watch the show exclusively on Netflix. It is not expected to be released on other streaming platforms. Each season contains 10 episodes ranging from around 45 minutes to an hour.

The show is centered around a group of teenagers, known as the Pogues, who live in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and become embroiled in a treasure hunt that leads them to uncover dark secrets about their community.

The third season of “Outer Banks” picks up right where the previous season left off, with the pogues facing new challenges as they search for a treasure that could change their lives forever. The show’s plot is action-packed, with plenty of chase scenes, fight scenes and high-stakes situations that keep viewers on the edge of their seats. However, the show also tackles deeper themes, such as class divisions, corruption and the consequences of greed.

The season begins with the Pogues, (John B, Cleo, Sarah, Pope, JJ and Kiara) trapped on an island after a narrow escape. The pogues have to find a way off the island and back to their home in Outer Banks. Trying to get home, the Pogues get into some trouble and have to conduct a risky rescue mission. This season picks up on the bigger plotline than the previous seasons. It reaches the direct source of the treasure instead of various pieces of treasure such as the gold, and the cross.

As the characters gain new clues throughout the show, it allows viewers to be fully engaged and on the edge of their seat during every episode. “Outer Banks” also gives the viewers the summer vibe that they are craving. It allows for teenagers to relate to the characters, even though most of the cast is above 25-years-old.

Overall, Outer Banks season three is an engaging and thrilling drama that offers plenty of action, mystery and character development. The show’s exploration of social issues adds a relevant and thought-provoking element to the story, making it a must-watch for viewers who enjoy action-packed dramas with intriguing mysteries and engaging characters.
