The hockey team had an up and down 8-1-3 season last year. The team hopes returning seniors David Finder, Will Reich, Matt Hurd, juniors Spencer Trone, Curtis Milkman, Matt Senker and sophomore Alex Dourian, as well as some new faces will lead the team to a successful season.
“We lost 10 seniors,” senior Omid Manoochehri said. “A lot of leadership is gone, but now we have a new core so we’re gonna be better [this year]. The new players strive to prove they can make an impact on the team.”
The team feels that it has identified its weaknesses and will look to improve them.
“Our penalty minutes killed us last year,” senior Kohler Brafford said. “As a team we had over 200 penalty minutes throughout the season. The mindset of the team is also different this year as everyone seems to be a lot more focused on the ice during practice.”
Though the team will have to make up for the loss of key players Griffin Farha, Eric Markowitz, Max Heller and Chris Shrump, the Bulldogs still have a lot of talent on their roster.
“I would say Finder is our top offensive player as he led the team last year with the most goals and has continued his success into this season,” Brafford said.
