The Bravery’s latest record comes with a new twist

The Bravery is back with a new album that is sure to Stir the Blood with the same great sound they are known for but with a new twist.

The Bravery’s new album will be released Dec. 1 and continues with their alternative post-punk, new wave style, but with more dark and depressing songs than before. They released their first single off the album, Slow Poison, Sept. 22.

With its themes of death and failure, Slow Poison contributes to the continuation of an emo style of music from The Bravery. Although the band has always been seen as somewhat emo, some of the songs on the new album have taken the emo lyrics to a whole new level.

Another single, HateF— and the music video to go along with it were also leaked onto Youtube without the permission of the record label, Island Records. HateF— took The Bravery’s style to a whole new level of darkness, with vivid images of death within the music video to complement their lyrics.

One of The Bravery’s most depressing songs, Believe, was also their most popular. The song Believe hit the top of iTune’s Top Songs list.

Although The Bravery’s new album lyrics can be gloomy, the songs on it still have those catchy and fun beats that everyone loves to listen to, making it a great addition to The Bravery’s last two albums.
