The CHS Forensics clubs recently competed at the Montgomery County Forensics League and placed sixth overall in the county March 14. The Forensics Club allows students to practice their public speaking and debate skills and aims to refine students’ argumentative abilities and make them more effective communicators.

Seniors Miranda Catsambas and Annie Fang placed first and third respectively in the Dramatics category.

“It was really a worthwhile experience because of the rare opportunity to get together with different schools and hear what they have to say in terms of interpretation, subject matter, and emotional appeal,” Fang said. “Winning the award was the culmination of everything I put into the club, especially because I refounded it and I’d like it to be my legacy.”
